And this type of feeling is different from nervousness or feeling of tensed out. This also depends on the person. Some people get more anxious while doing certain activities. These kinds of people get more anxious while doing certain tasks or completing any work. They tend to feel very uncomfortable when they are doing anything. But the things they worry about are so trivial that they feel they cannot control them. In such a case, these are called mild cases of anxiety. Such people tend to feel anxious due to certain work or school-related circumstances. In other words, a case of general tension and worry can create havoc in one’s mind.

When a person is anxious about something, he/she feels the urge to run away to avoid getting affected by this situation. For instance, if someone has just got a new job and she is working along with her colleagues. She is worried about giving a bad report or poor productivity. So, she runs to an escape room before going to office hours. At times, this person feels very scared and doesn’t want to take risks. He/she starts thinking about whether she can manage her duties at the workplace. That person is worried about his performance as well. His self-esteem plummets down and eventually gets shaken up. As it goes through several stages in the mind, it worsens. As we all know about stress-related events, it becomes too much. A person wants to escape from the pressure that he has been facing. He feels a bit uncomfortable even without any fear of the outcome. This kind of situation worsens his mental health. Then, he ends up feeling anxiety which is a symptom of generalized anxiety disorder. Now here is one of the major differences between anxiety and panic attacks. Sometimes, they occur even after having had a good night’s sleep.

The male gender also faces greater discrimination while growing up as compared to the female gender. While playing sports, a boy is more likely to face racial or sexual harassment. Males are often targeted with racist remarks and sexual jokes. This incident can disturb a child’s upbringing as well.
