Memory Improvement Techniques

 Ways to Improve Memory

Memory is a complex process in the brain, which involves both encoding data and storing them. The process of memory has two parts: “learning” for memorizing facts and “storehouse” for storing information about situations and events. (Wikipedia)
Memory stores and processes can also take place on other levels. One example is emotional memory. It is often linked with our ability to recall memories in specific ways, depending on their contents at that particular time. There are specific types of memory depending on this. Here are some examples of how memory can be improved. Some techniques also help to increase or decrease the accuracy of the information stored in the brain. Let’s discuss these in detail, as well as ways to enhance memory.

1. Repetition: You can try repeating your phrases during conversations. Listening to some sentences is enough to improve memory. It helps you remember them when they occur for longer. This technique may seem easy. However, it is important to remember the right meaning for each word you use. This will help us find a deeper understanding of what was said. It is also useful for people who read books in foreign languages. Try to translate short phrases into language words. If someone asks you to do something like repeat a sentence. For example, say “I’m going to show you the flowers at my apartment. It is in an open space.” Then ask “what kind of flowers?” To memorize such a word or phrase. But it is not very effective if the question is asked repeatedly. So it is better just to listen carefully when the person speaks and then repeat whatever you hear or see. That’s all.

2. Using Short Term Memory: When you need to remember something quickly, short-term memory may help. It allows you to keep the information you have already encountered and apply it to new situations. If you are tired and cannot remember everything, you can write down all the things that have happened to you. On the other hand, we may have good memories of things, but when they are forgotten about, we have difficulties remembering them. Instead, focus only on one thing at a time and remember those things that need to be remembered for a short period. Examples: I have forgotten some of my friends from school, so I look for them in every place I can think of — even if there are no others around. At work, I sometimes talk with my colleagues, and I can talk to someone else in China about how much I miss seeing his smile, how beautiful he is, or how cute he is. As soon as someone asks, “Do you mean me?”, I reply with the name of where I saw him or her and the year. These small fragments of knowledge helped me to remember the things I have forgotten.
It will also help you remember the things you do not want to forget because you can concentrate on one problem at a time.

3. Learning from mistakes: We should learn from our mistakes in life. While learning from mistakes is one way to improve memory, also learning how to deal with failure and mistakes is also helpful. A successful student will never let himself or herself get used to feeling bad when the class is over. They are unlikely to go back to thinking things through again. Students who are willing to try new things and take risks are more likely than others to succeed. A lot depends on individual experiences rather than memorized facts and events. So when you feel bad try doing something else. And when you fail, consider yourself to have made a mistake. Another way is to keep a notebook to remind me about the difficult moments when you were afraid or didn’t know how to handle a situation. Don’t worry about losing the most recent information on your computer or phone. Be careful when you are using too many apps. There are many ways you can improve memory. It is just normal activities and habits. But many people think they must learn to do more of this or that. People are wrong. What I suggest is to spend all the free time you have, when you have time. Also, give yourself a chance to study.
