Difference between Anxiety and Depression
What Is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a fear that happens in your mind. You can have anxiety when you are going to die or something else bad will happen to you. This fear of death may come from the things that you want, like attending a wedding or having friends over for dinner. In most cases, you can always remember those reasons you have for getting worried about something else. It's just the anxious thoughts that give you an uneasy feeling in the heart. Some people will have anxiety in their everyday life, but they will not think about it much or even notice that it is there. When something bad happens to them it usually takes a long time before they realize that they are suffering from it. But when they get scared by what's happening around them, they are more aware and start thinking about what's happening in their lives.
When you have anxiety, your mind works in three directions by itself. First, there's the internal worry related to your physical pain. In this case, it concerns any pain or discomfort due to a sudden change in weather, a change in sleep schedule, or even simply something happening wrong. Second, we have real worries about the daily situations that we usually have. These include things you're late in a class or if your parents are suddenly angry with you; however, it doesn't have to do with your actual health. The last is the way you feel when you are facing something which makes you feel unsafe. At least 5-10% of all these worries are true. Here's how a person becomes more aware of their state.
What Is A Depressive Feeling?
A depressed person usually feels tired, sad, and hopeless. They also feel exhausted because of everything around them. Sometimes they just don’t feel loved because of what they did or didn’t do. They might start drinking or smoking or doing anything they need to numb themselves. Most often, it’s the sadness and loneliness. When something bad occurs, all this person feels is a little bit of hopelessness and despair. Then, the person starts to question his/her own life or the world around him. His feelings will make him feel useless and lonely. This can lead to isolation and sometimes he/she even wants to commit suicide. There are two types of depression. One is a general depression that many people experience when they feel down, and then we have manic depression which is more specific and is related to personality and some diseases. In short, each type has its symptoms. For example, if you have a depressive mood at work, you will be very uncomfortable walking around, and so you will walk around or even just sit at a desk. If someone with depression likes talking to him/her, we can find that the people's conversations are usually very quiet and slow. Someone who's depressed may also appear to look pale or have a thin body. He/she may have a poor memory. Another symptom is getting headaches and sleeping more easily than usual just because of your brain or body's discomfort. This feeling is called a somatic symptom.
Depressive Symptoms And Treatment
Here are some symptoms and treatments to watch out for when you have depression. First, take steps to treat yourself. Talk to your doctor about getting help immediately and try not to hurt yourself. Think positively and tell yourself that you are strong. Do not let stress or negativity affect you. Try not to be too emotional. Stress may cause depression if it’s not taken care of. So do not get stressed or upset, especially in public situations. Even though everything around you seems chaotic, try to keep your head up. Remember, people will never know what you are feeling unless you say that the feeling is real. That is why it is important to let others know about depression as soon as possible. Secondly, do the exercises that your doctor prescribes. Always try to do them, no matter what other distractions are around you. Also, try to remember your goals. Make sure you check your phone at least once a day if it is very busy. Write down your plans, and the important places you must go to when the time is right. Give yourself some positive messages. Tell me to smile, even if you are sad or miserable. Do not criticize yourself if you feel your failure. Your best self will always be happy, even if you feel like negative things. Finally, take a shower and watch the television sometimes. Don't stop until you feel better. Doing daily activities will be an effective treatment.
